Dr.B. Prabhakar Reddy, P. Imran Khan, S. Mahaboob Basha

Abstract :

Security concerns have become a major difficulty for researchers, developers, manufacturers, designers, and other stakeholders in the mobile phone industry as a result of rapid technological advancements in this space. It usually takes some time for such technology to be consumed by the market, which provides security teams with an opportunity to design and implement robust security measures. The proliferation of smartphones and the increasing number of people who use them to check their email, conduct financial transactions, and access other types of confidential information have created a dynamic new threat environment [1]. The fact that almost anybody can use the device has also contributed to widespread smartphone distribution ahead of the time when adequate safety measures have been implemented. When comparing the market shares of the various smartphone operating systems, Android now dominates. As the capabilities and functions of these phones advance, so does their susceptibility to security breaches. This article presents the results of a comprehensive investigation on the significance of android security, the nature of possible vulnerabilities, and the state of existing security practices for protecting against them.
